New study ranks health by county
16 February 2010
Today, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation released state-based city and county health rankings. The county-by-county rankings were developed to increase awareness of a number of factors that contribute to the health of communities, including clinical care access and quality, health-promoting behaviors, social and economic factors, and the physical environment. While each jurisdiction will receive a ranking, there is no comparison among the states, nor will there be one composite ranking.
The Virginia Department of Health (VDH) released this
statement on the Virginia rankings.
