When you become a member of the Medical Society of Virginia Alliance, you’re a part of one of the largest Alliances in the nation. We have approximately 1,000 members who are dedicated to advancing healthcare and to the support of medical families. Our mission, to help promote the health and well being of Virginia, comes to life with the programs we support including service projects, health education and fundraisers.

Ongoing projects have included support of free clinics; educational partnerships with schools on bullying and internet safety; health care related scholarships; and SAVE programs (Stop America’s Violence Everywhere) addressing domestic violence. The Alliance also provides support of the medical family through social activities.

Because politics and medical care are intertwined, we support legislation that preserves access to care and patient safety. Members of the Alliance also help to inform policy makers about health issues and work together to improve the health care system.

Finally, we help support the Medical Societyof Virginia Foundation, the American Medical Association Foundation as well as local initiatives that touch Virginia’s communities.
